The Florida Bellflower is a member of the bellflower family which includes a wide array of plant types including small shrubs and rarely even small trees.

Blooming most commonly blue, lavender, and even white flowers in solitary or clustered stems, the typical flower is 2-3 inches across and is popular with hummingbirds.

The Bellflower is found in a wide range of wetland habitats and is even used in landscaping and ornamentally.
